Bootleg Blondie - Fantasia Music

BOOTLEG BLONDIE is Europe’s No.1 Blondie tribute band and the only Blondie tribute band to play at CBGBs in New York City before it’s closure in 2006.

CBGBs was the Holy Grail of American Punk and New Wave, where the real Blondie played some of their first shows.

The Bootlegs have also played the Isle Of Wight Festival, the 100 Club London, Eric’s in Liverpool and appear regularly at many top venues and festivals around the UK and Europe.

Debbie Harris and the boys have met members of Blondie and have been officially endorsed by the band. Deborah Harry got in touch when she heard Bootleg Blondie were playing CBGBs and wished them good luck, and both Deborah Harry and Chris Stein have signed Andy’s (Bootleg blondies guitarist) guitars.

When Clem Burke, Blondie’s charasmatic drummer, found out that the band were making a replica of his Premier drum kit, he arranged for the band to meet him and even signed their bass drum skin! The boys proudly use their signed instruments in their live shows.

Debbie Harris, lead vocalist of Bootleg Blondie, has the looks, the voice and the attitude of the original Blondie Bombshell, and like her heroine is typically outrageous on stage. She has been known to wear dustbin liners, thigh length boots and t.shirts with more holes than t.shirt!

Debbie has appeared as a Deborah Harry look-a-like on TV and has also been featured in the The Sunday Observer newspaper, photographed by the famous rock photographer Kevin Cummins, who co-incidentally has worked with the real Deborah Harry and Blondie!

"I can't believe it's not Blondie... and I toured with the real thing!" MICK AVORY - (THE KINKS)
"Great show, so true to Blondie!" TONY HADLEY - (Spandau Ballet)
"Probably the best Blondie tribute band, definitely the sexiest Debbie Harry!" THE CARTOON
"This singer spookily resembles Debbie Harry!" THE STANDARD

"More costume changes than Joan Collins!!" TIME OUT
