We have the best Ceilidh Bands to hire in your area for weddings, parties, corporate events & dances
Ceilidh Bands are a popular alternative to the more traditional wedding bands and offer an inclusive entertainment playing lively Celtic dance music. The whole idea of a Ceilidh is for as many people to get up and dance as possible, and a good band will get you and your guests onto the floor and keep you there!
Ceilidh Bands usually play Scottish or Irish folk dance music and can be as small as 2 pieces where a popular combination is fiddle guitar and singer. Instruments such as mandolin, flute, accordion & percussion can be added as budget and playing space allow, however most Ceilidh Bands are between 4 and 7 pieces and include a ‘Caller’.
The caller instructs the dancers what to do for each dance by guiding everyone though the steps and is an essential addition to ensure a successful Ceilidh particularly for novices.
