Beggars Row were formed in 1997 by Bob Ferguson for the Culross folk festival. Since then, the personnel has changed but the nucleus (Gus, David, Harry and Bob) have remained. Beggars Row are a 6-piece Scottish band playing traditional/contemporary Scottish and Irish Folk music. Their stage act consists of a mixture of popular Folk songs with a modern slant, coupled with original compositions and they perform in tartan kilts and falamhors, which adds to their colourful image.
Beggars Row have performed at major festivals throughout the UK and have toured Russia a number of times. They provide first class entertainment, are wonderful to watch and when the time is right, they go into the audience to dance, play and generally have a good time.
