Inchequin was formed in 1987. Their debut single "City on the Langan/Widows Cloak" entered the charts that summer. The band played the Letterkenny folk festival, the Omagh folk festival and the Glencolumbkille festival during that first year and have been playing festivals throughout Europe and the USA ever since.
Inchequin were voted Top Celtic Rock Band In London In 1992. They have toured in Germany, Sweeden, France, Denmark, USA, Norway, Scotland and Switzerland and now spend most of their time abroad.
The Inchequin show consists of old trad. folk classics rocked up, original songs and tunes written by Hugh and Sinead and some great versions of songs from Runrig, Rod Stewart, Proclaimers, Horselips, Waterboys, Lynyrd Skynyrd and many many more, resulting in an exciting fusion of old traditional tunes with modern pop and rock.
