Mike Georgiades

Mike is an exciting, highly talented professional guitarist, specializing in providing beautiful music for every occasion, from subtle background music for private functions, weddings, parties, receptions to corporate events and even full concert performances.

Biography
Mike started playing guitar at the age of six and has progressed into a striking, accomplished performer of many different guitar styles, namely Classical, Romantic, Spanish and Flamenco, through to Latin Jazz, Rock and Pop.

After winning several arts competitions, he gained a music scholarship with the Amersham & Wycombe Music Centre, and had reached the final for the regional Young Musician of the Year by the age of twelve. From this classical background, Mike went on to train at the University of Salford, gaining a degree in Popular Music and Recording.

Mike has performed at many prestigious venues including The Royal Pavilion (Brighton), The Four Seasons Hotel, The Grove, The Savoy and many more. Current projects include guitar based film & TV work with top publishers Boosey & Hawkes and Imagem Production Music. Mike also works as a session guitarist, recently working with 'Zoe & Frank' - a major label release in Japan. He has worked with the likes of Henry Olsen (formerly of Primal Scream), Tim Weller (drummer and brother of Paul) and programmer/producer Alexis Smith (Moulin Rouge and David Gray).

At present, Mike is in high demand both as a concert guitarist in the UK and Europe, and for private functions, such as weddings, dinners, parties and corporate events. He has undertaken live session guitar work in the UK for musicals such as 'Grease', 'Joseph' and 'The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas'. He currently plays and writes songs for the highly rated band The Godlies who have performed at venues such as the Cambridge Folk Festival.
