Described as 'Sensational' by Richard Chapman (The Complete Guitarist), The Justin Morris & David Weston Guitar Duo is comprised of two Goldsmiths College (University of London) graduates who specialised in guitar performance.
Since graduating both Justin and David have worked as freelance musicians including work for Mitch Dalton, Jason Robert-Brown and Sir Arnold Wesker and arranging/editing music for Metallica, Joni Mitchell, Oasis, Coldplay and Eric Clapton.
In January 2007 they signed to Avocado Music Productions and immediately started work on their first self-titled album which was intended to illustrate the diversity of their repertoire, with tracks echoing both Gypsy and Latin Jazz, along with folk mixed with modern guitar complexities of the likes of Joe Satriani and Pat Metheny. Through this they have performed at many top London restaurants and hotels, the cruise ship The Minerva II, and play the Hay-on Wye and Isle of Wight Festivals in 2007.
They can provide music for any occasion where the atmosphere would be enhanced by high quality music, such as parties, weddings and corporate events as their repertoire can be adapted to suit specific needs.
Whilst proficient in playing and arranging jazz and Latin standards with their modern contemporary influence, through virtuosic improvising harmony they also write their own material.
Genres: Jazz, Latin, Gypsy, Standards, Folk, Spanish, Contemporary and Acoustic.
