Caroline Greenwood
Caroline has worked as a professional harpist for over fifteen years. Her classical training and wide experience has given her a broad repertoire ranging from Baroque to the most up-to-date contemporary music.
Caroline has a wealth of experience at providing the ideal ambient music for wedding ceremonies and wedding breakfasts, galas, dinners, cocktail parties and similar social events. She will gladly advise on the most appropriate music to suit, whatever the occasion.
Her ability and the warmth of her music have elicited praise from many of the well known personalities for whom she has performed. These include, amongst others, visiting heads of state, the Prime Minister and members of the Royal family. She has been asked to perform for Her Majesty The Queen, Princess Diana and The Duchess of Kent, both in Wales and in London
Caroline performs solo recitals and works with various orchestras and ensembles. She also teaches the harp and has been commissioned to write and perform for the BBC.
Caroline trained with Ann Griffiths at the Welcs College of Music and Drama in Cardiff where was awarded the harp prize, obtained her degree and went on to study for the post graduate advanced diploma in the harp. She was principal harp with the WCMD symphony orchestra for 4 years and trained with Valerie Aldrich Smith.
