The Avenas Quartet is made-up of musicians who studied at the Guildhall School of Music in London. Individually, the musicians have won prizes and accolades for their fine musicianship, performed concertos and chamber works with leading ensembles and orchestras and tundertaken tours throughout Europe. .
Venues include The Purcell Room, St Martin in The Fields, The Royal Festival Hall, Royal Albert Hall etc. Internationally they have travelled to France, Spain, Romania, USA, Canada and played under such star conductors as Sir Colin Davis, Yan Pascal Tortellier and Sir Charles Mackerras. They are also in demand within the field of POP appearing with Artists such as Elton John.The Avenas Quartet are available to play for wedding services and receptions, parties and functions and any other event which may require musical entertainment! They are available for events throughout the UK.
Repertoire
The quartet have a wide repertoire of music that can cater for any event. The music ranges from Scarlatti, Bach, Handel, Vivaldi, Beethoven, Schubert to film music, Scott joplin Rags and even arrangements of rock songs such as Stairway To Heaven by Led Zeppelin!
