The Blond String Quartet

The Blond String Quartet was formed in 2001 as an innovative ensemble to perform music outside of the standard String Quartet repertoire. The quartet have had many arrangements specifically written for them, and they enjoy playing music from different idioms, including pop, rock, jazz, easy listening as well as standard classical works.

All of the players have a music college background and have worked professionallyin orchestras, including The London Symphony Orchestra, The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, The Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, The Northern Sinfonia and The BBC Philharmonic. They have also worked with artists such as Elton John, Boyzone, Hot House Flowers, Omar and Ace of Base.

Blond have performed at many corporate events, weddings and festivals throughout the UK. They have enjoyed a residency at The Ritz Hotel- London, and have been requested to perform for Nelson Mandela. The quartet is available for weddings, parties, corporate events, sessions, and other functions.
