The Highly Strung String Quartet have a huge profile in the Midlands and London; they are a professional, vibrant quartet with an eclectic playlist mixing classical with lighter music and jazz. They have music to suit all occasions-from Beethoven to the Beach Boys. The quartet are extremely popular at wedding ceremonies and receptions, parties and corporate events.
'Highly Strung' formed in Nottingham in 1996 and each member went on to study in London at the top three music conservatoires, the Royal Academy of Music, the Royal College of Music and the Guildhall School of Music.The String Quartet have played at some of the country's finest venues including Tower Bridge, Chatsworth House, Knebworth House, The Lainsborough Hotel-London, The Intercontinental- London and have even played for a wedding on Guernsey.
Highly Strung's clients include Mercedes-Benz, Boots, Proctor and Gamble, English Heritage and the BBC.
Individually, memebers of the quartet have played with The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Moscow Ballet, Royal Scottish National Orchestra, BBC Symphony Orchestra, London Concert Orchestra and European Union Youth Orchestra. They have also performed in concert and on television alongside Will Young, Rod Stewart, Il Divo, Robbie Williams and Elton John.

Highly Strung have been entertaining wedding guests since 1997 and have extensive experience of tailoring their repertoire to create the right mood for your special day. Sarah can help you plan your booking to suit your needs and is available to talk to in the months leading up to the engagement. The quartet can play from as little as one hour to five hours and they don't mind if the ceremony and reception are at two different venues. Highly Strung have repertoire to suit both church services and civil ceremonies and can give you advice about which music to consider.
