The Salieri String Quartet
The Salieri Quartet is one of the longest established and most experienced of all background quartets working in the UK today. The name is taken from the composer Antonio Salieri who was a contemporary of Mozart. The players come from a diverse and far-reaching range of backgrounds and musical influences. Away from the quartet the players have worked with orchestras in Italy and Sweden, The Royal, Philharmonic Orchestra, The Ulster Orchestra, The Orchestra of Opera North and The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra amongst many others. They have also played for many West End shows, this being reflected in the enormous range of light and popular music the quartet has had arranged for it's own particular use.
The Salieri Quartet gives informal recitals and concerts featuring popular classical music of every age. They are happy to discuss particular needs and interests in order to tailor a programme to meet your exact needs. They are also available for weddings, receptions, dinners etc.
Based in the South of England, the quartet is ideally located to play anywhere from Birmingham to Brighton. Distance is no object for people who have worked from Berlin to Tokyo to New York!
