Status Cymbal is the String Quartet with a difference. Their approach to popular music is both refreshing and adventurous. From the beginning, work from Britain's finest string arrangers was commissioned, so that their unrivalled library now extends from Bach to Rock via Strauss, Gershwin, Bernstein, Duke Ellington, The Beatles, The Carpenters, Led Zepelin and Queen to name but a few.
The quartet works in concert halls, hotels, livery and banqueting halls, stately homes and country houses. They have played at a multitude of corporate functions, appeared on the Radio 2 Arts Programme and television credits include Central TV's "Pot Of Gold".
Status Cymbal have performed regularly on Brittany Ferries cross chanel routes and have featured on Xmas and New Year mini-cruises. They completed a 2 month Alaskan contract on the Holland-America cruiseship MS Noordam, and in 97-98 spent 4 months cruising out of Florida and Mexico. Recent trips have included the US West Coast, the Mediterranean and a return to Alaska.
