Quintessence is a wind ensemble, the members of which are all experienced chamber musicians who have worked together for over a decade. Between them, these freelance musicians have performed with many of the countrys leading orchestras including the BBC Symphony Orchestra, the Bournemouth Sinfonietta, the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, the Britten-Pears Orchestra, the D'Oyly Carte Opera Orchestra and Virtuosi 2000.
Since taking part in the first ever wind chamber music course at the Britten-Pears School for advanced musical studies (the only course of its kind in the country), they have appeared in concerts and festivals throughout the country, including performing in The Maltings as part of the Snape Proms.
Quintessence perform energetic and enlightning programmes, often including trios, quartets and sextets. They are available for concerts, corporate events, weddings, receptions and workshops.
