Two Tone is a new duo made up of two outstanding all-round vocalists, both of whom have been gigging on the London circuit and further afield for five years. They decided to collaborate over the Christmas period 2003, when they performed together for the first time and found their voices blended really well. The duo is highly flexible and can perform all styles of music, catering for any occasion. They have many contacts around London and the UK and can provide any combination of performers from straight duo to quartets, 6-8 piece band and big band.
Jess is one of the featured vocalists of BackBeat Village. A fine singer of soul, latin and jazz, her powerful, soulful voice has often been compared to that of Dusty Springfield. The daughter of musicians, she has been performing in public since she was fifteen and has appeared at many of London's top venues including the Jazz Café, the Purcell Rooms, China White's, Smollenski's on the Strand, WKD, the Roadhouse in Covent Garden and the Café de Paris in Leicester Square. Most recently she has been performing with former World Featherweight Champion - turned singer Barry McGuigan.
Gavin is the lead vocalist of Groove Grand Central and has been a member of various other bands, either as lead vocalist, alto sax player or drummer. Having performed at Birmingham ICC, Cafe Royal, Ten Rooms, Dorchester. He has toured the UK with Respect, a successful 10 piece soul band. He has also been singing regularly with two other big bands catering for larger private functions. As a Performing Arts graduate, he is also an excellent dancer and all-round performer.
Two Tone is both new groove and old soul. Above all they can offer styles of music to suit your individual tastes. They understand that people sometimes want to have the effect of big band singers but in small packages, and they know about good sound and quality vocals. They can be relied on to get the crowd going in any situation and can choose songs for audience participation as well as for the more discerning listener.
Wherever you are, if you want groove, soul, pop, motown, modern, female/male solo, jazz trios or quartets, cocktail piano, rock bands, glam bands or anything else, then Two Tone will come up with the goods, either alone or with other top musicians on the London circuit.
