Fantasia Wind Trio is a professional woodwind Trio that plays throughout the UK.
Formed in 2003 after graduating from The Royal Academy of Music, The trio have a large repertoire which includes their core Classical music as well as Show tunes, jazz and Pop arrangements giving them everything need to entertain for just about any event and appeal to most tastes. The trio play for weddings, parties, receptions, corporate events and concerts.
Weddings and events
Fantasia Wind Trio are a popular alternative to the traditional string trio or quartet for weddings and events. Music is drawn from a varied repertoire that includes Classical music from Brahms, Handel, Mozart etc. to lighter music from Scott Joplin, Fats Waller, Jerome Kern, Gershwin, Nat King Cole and onto pop classics from The Beatles, ABBA, Elvis and the Kaiser Chiefs!
The trio have played for wedding and events at: The Hurlingham Club, Brocket Hall, Stourhead, Lincoln’s Inn, The Dorchester Hotel, Chandos House, The Landmark Hotel, Grovefield House etc.. They have also played aboard cruise liners for Saga and visited The Far East, Oceania, Russia and Scandinavia
The concert platform is somewhere that the trio feel very much at home and they have toured extensively throughout the UK giving recitals and concerts. The woodwind trio provides concert goers with something different, giving the audience a chance to hear something other than strings based music in concert and presenting each performance in an upbeat, lively style.
Concert venues include: Festivals in Stratford-upon-Avon, Church Stretton and Deal. Notable London venues include the National Portrait Gallery and Kings Place.
Members of trio have played concerts with Nigel Kennedy and played with Elton John in the UK and New York as part of the Royal Academy of Music Symphony Orchestra.
Fantasia Wind Trio also work with children of all ages educating them via school visits, workshops and concerts. The trio have also ran an educational music course for a number of years where they work with both children and adults and they believe it to be very important that the younger generation have access to live music (particularly wind music!)
