The Dark Blues are a unique combination of youth, experience, enthusiasm and professionalism, musicianship and entertainment. The band was formed by Nigel Tully at Oxford University in 1962. Their 4000 plus engagements to date include private, business and charity balls throughout the UK, dances and parties in all the major London hotels, appearances at almost every stately home in the country, and the Royal Family's own parties at Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle. A memorable highlight was an invitation to play alongside Phil Collins for Prince Charles 40th birthday at Buckingham Palace - an impressive repeat booking as the band had played for the Prince's 21st as well! Subsequently, Phil Collins asked The Dark Blues to play for his wedding and their New Year's Eve party in Geneva.
The band has an amazing repertoire of over 2000 songs enabling them to cater for an exceptionally wide variety of musical tastes. Suzi Rahmatallah, an outstanding singer and dancer, joined the band in 1995 and adds even more versatility to the band's performance.
