The core of JET combines the vocal talents of Julie Staines with keyboard player and vocalist Esther Frake. Julie fronted 'Dear Jon', one of the south's most successful gigging bands and played some of the biggest venues in the UK. Birmingham's NEC, London's Wembley Arena and The Manchester Apollo to name but a few. TV appearances include Top Of The Pops, The Patrick Kielty Show and The James Whale Show.
Julie went on to form 'The Julie Band' and signed a major recording contract with SONY in New York. Songs from her debut album are used in American film and TV today.
Esther is an award winning pianist/keyboard player who has toured and led several orchestras and bands around Europe. She was twice the winner of Young Musician Of The Year and has achieved recognition in both Jazz and Classical music.
The other members of the band are established, professional musicians who are in demand throughout the South for pop, jazz, function bands and studio work.
JET is a five piece band comprising Lead vocals, Keyboards, Guitar, Bass, Drums. This can, however, be augmented to suit larger venues/budgets to include a brass section. For smaller events, JET is also available as a duo.
