The James Rawlinson Jazz Quartet band plays a wide mix of Jazz and Swing from the 1930’s to the present day.
Led by Saxophonist James Rawlinson who studied at the Royal Academy of Music in London, the quartet plays all over the country performing for private functions, weddings and corporate events.
The Quartet can be enlarged to include a singer or scaled down to just a Sax and Piano duo, depending on your requirements. This means the band can provide music for dining, cocktails or something a bit more lively. The trio is a very popular option for receptions where instrumental background music is required and this format usually uses sax, bass and piano or sax, bass and guitar.
Corporate Clients have included: Barclays, Glaxo Smith-Klein, etc. at venues such as Chewton Glen Hotel, Lulworth Castle, Lime Wood Hotel, Brighton Metropole, The Royal Bath Hotel, Highcliffe Castle, The Miramar Hotel, Hotel Du Vin – Poole, etc.
James and his musicians have also played at major UK festivals including The Coronation festival at Buckingham Palace, The Goodwood Revival, The Derry Jazz festival and The Larmer Tree Festival.
