Tenorman Dave Quincy began his career in the early 60s rock bands with the likes of Jet Harris, Chris Farlowe and Terry Smith. In 1969 he formed the acclaimed group "If", with fellow saxophonist Dick Morrisey, which toured the USA. Their first recording made the top 40 in the US album charts. During the 80s he led Semuta, a Latin-rock combo which frequently played at Ronnie Scott's Club. He also recorded with the renowned alto player Jamie Talbot.

In recent years he has been freelancing on the major UK jazz club circuit. Dave has a big full-blooded tone, flowing with invention and free from the gimmicks often displayed by younger musicians.

Phil Doyle began playing the piano at the age of 5. Although classically trained his main interests are now Jazz, Big Bands and Dance Bands. He embarked on a career as an Army musician in the early 80s where he also played trombone retiring in early 2003.

He is now firmly established as one of the finest pianists in the South and is in great demand as a freelance musician not only on the jazz circuit but also as a solo cocktail pianist. He has worked with many fine International jazz stars including Bobby Shew, Scott Hamilton, Kenny Davern and Harry Allen.
