Laurie Chescoes Good Time Jazz

In 1990 drummer Laurie Chescoe put together a band of musicians drawn from the finest and most well known bands in the country which was to become Britain's premier Dixieland band. Formerly with such great names as Kenny Ball, Acker Bilk, Freddie Randall, Hefty Jazz and Alex Welsh, this melting pot of dedicated top quality British jazzmen blended from the moment the first tune was counted in and have never looked back. Since it's inception, the band has played theatres, concert halls and jazz clubs throughout the U.K., has broadcast on radio and been the subject of rave reviews from all parts of the world including Holland, Germany and the U.S.A.go to main pic

The bands first album, 'Laurie Chescoe's Good Time Jazz', was chosen by the editor of Jazz Journal as one of the top ten albums of 1990. In 1995, after producing three albums the band represented Great Britain at the Sacramento Jazz Jubilee in the U.S.A. Their latest release 'Feeling Good' is selling well all over the world and as with all the previous recordings, further reinforces the bandıs tremendous reputation for happy, foot-tapping jazz.

Laurie Chescoe's Good Time Jazz appears regularly at jazz events all over the U.K. and Europe, and are available for jazz clubs, festivals and corporate events as a 7-piece band.
