The Morellos
The Morellos are a London based jazz trio featuring violin, guitar and double bass. The Morellos play Hot Club music in the style of Django Rheinhardt and Stephane Grappelli- Parisian Swing from the 30's and 40's. Their music works equally well for weddings, parties, events, hotels, restaurants and corporate events. The Morellos are professional musicians who play jazz brilliantly and are regularly booked by London's premier event and party organisers.
Since 1989 The Morellos have been performing vibrant background music for private parties, business events, weddings, receptions, promotions etc. in a huge variety of venues. In that time they have gained a reputation for complete reliability and great enthusiasm for the music.
The Morellos music is ideal for weddings and parties. A performance can include Songs by Cole Porter, Gershwin, Django Rheinhardt, Fats Waller and many more from the very romantic and evocative era of The Quintet of the Hot Club of France. Being a trio, the band is very flexible and they are able to perform acoustically and be relatively mobile, or with amplification and in a small space if necessary.
