Seymour's Jump was formed in October 1992 by trombonist and vocalist, Mark Seymour. Mark has gained a wealth of experience performing at venues and festivals worldwide from Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club to the Meridian Hotel in Paris, Nice and Milan Jazz Festivals, plus numerous live UK, Italian and Dutch TV shows.
Seymour's Jump produce a special blend of outstanding musicianship, high energy and versatility to bring you the very best in Swing, Jump Jive, Rhythm & Blues, Hot Jazz and Groovy sounds. Seymour's Jump has recently extended their line up to a six piece with the inclusion of a trumpet and have become a Little Big Band for most gigs.
Influenced and playing numbers by such composers and performers as Louis Jordan, Cab Callaway, Ray Charles, BB King, Duke Ellington and the great Louis Prima, and by putting their own personal touches to tunes like "Rockin' In Rhythm" and the finger-clicking "Route 66", Seymour's Jump brings you a sound that, nowadays, is both unique and refreshing.
