The Palm Court Theatre Orchestra is internationally acclaimed for playing both Salon and Swing music with faultless style, unrivalled ability and infectious good humour. Whatever the occasion, however unusual the venue, the orchestra can provide a sparkling musical accompaniment...a witty, beautifully played Concert Entertainment or Cabaret; an authentic Twenties syncopated Dance Band; a sophistcated Thirties Hollywood-style Dance Orchestra; a Forties Big Swing Band with hot brass and pulsating rhythms; a gentile Tea-Room Quartet; 'Music Divertissement' from a Palm Court Quintet or a particular ensemble to suit your event. All the music is original and authentic and each ensemble ha its own period stage setting, costumes, lighting and superb sound system.
The orchestra has performed at all the most important music venues in Britain and overseas including a two month concert tour of the U.S.A. It has launched ships, cars and products, entertained all the top companies at all the top hotels, appeared on 'Omnibus', 'Whickers World', 'Pebble Mill', and been the subject of a much praised TV documentary. It played for BBC Radios 'Poirot' series and on-screen for ITVs 'Vintage Quiz'.
The orchestra have released 7 albums the first of which won the Grand Prix du Disque award.
