The Manchester String Quartet is a premier string group playing throughout the North of England.
The Manchester String Quartet was formed in 2002 whilst studying at The Royal Northern College of Music. The musicians are all freelance professionals having played with orchestras such as The Hallé, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic and Opera North.
The quartet plays for weddings, receptions, corporate events and studio recordings. Notable work includes sessions for BritPop band Pulp, working with Jarvis Cocker on the film score for the film ‘The Big Melt’ and regular visits to the world famous Abbey Road Studios in London.
The quartet is in demand in the corporate sector and clients include:-

The quartet has a number of wedding package options from playing for the ceremony and drinks, drinks and reception or the day package to take in ceremony, drinks and the breakfast.
The Manchester String Quartet have a large repertoire of music covering everything from Classical, Baroque, Jazz and Pop! There is something to please everyone and the music can be tailored to your taste.
The quartet becomes very busy in the Summer months playing for lots of weddings and events. As the musicians also play with top orchestras and play for sessions the quartet now has a pool of professional string players to cover if a regular member is unavailable.
