Mark Crowe is a professional multi instrumentalist playing Sax, Clarinet and Flute.
Mark is based in Dorset but works throughout the UK as a soloist and also with jazz bands, big bands and as a theatre musician.
He is very experienced having played for 5 World cruises on the iconic QE2 and Canberra. Mark has played for many West End theatre shows and associated tours such as The Rat Pack, Fiddler on the Roof, Cats, Chicago, and Bugle Boy (Glenn Miller Musical). He has played with the BBC Radio Orchestra and performs regularly with The Joe Loss Orchestra, Glenn Miller UK and Five Star Swing. Mark Crowe is also a busy studio musician and his playing can be heard on many commercial recordings and soundtracks.
Much of Mark’s work these days is as a soloist for weddings, parties, receptions etc. and what gives him the edge is that he plays not just the Sax but Clarinet and Flute as well. This means there is much more musical ‘colour’ to his performance, enabling him to go from Baker Street on Sax to Pachelbels’ Canon on Flute and then Stranger On The Shore with the Clarinet.
There are professional backing tracks for the solo performance and a large repertoire is available to suit weddings and all manner of events. Mark provides a high quality sound system and the sets can be tailored to suit your music choices and event timings.
The Jazz Duo, Jazz Trio and Jazz Quartet are also available and are very popular.
The duo is usually with Piano, the trio usually Sax, Piano and Bass, and Drums are added to make the quartet.
"We can't thank Mark enough. We booked him at the last minute as my husband decided two weeks before the wedding! Mark was great, many an email sent and received with lists of songs and questions from us. On the day he did an amazing job, I was in tears before I got to the aisle with his music of my entrance song. He played throughout the service and wedding breakfast. It made it a great day. Thank you so much." Clare and Lee 21/01/2018
"We would like to express our thanks to Mark for making our wedding day so special. Mark played all the music during our wedding ceremony, including an emotional rendition of "Annie's Song" on the flute that I walked down the aisle to. There wasn't a dry eye in the church. Mark was so flexible, always contactable and reliable exceeding our expectations. Mark organised the backing music, turned up appropriately dressed, with all equipment that was required. His musical performance was outstanding and we wouldn't hesitate in recommending him to anyone looking for a truly professional event. Thank you Mark." Joanne and Martin
"We had Mark at our home yesterday to celebrate our dad's 90th birthday. He was amazing!! And such a nice man, happy to chat to us all including a long chat with Dad who has a very long memory of all music. Mark plyed each instrument beautifully and gave us a magical afternoon. I rate Mark 11 out of 10!!" G. Fisher
