Medieval Music, Renaissance and Elizabethan musicians available to hire for your themed event.
We have musicians and bands that specialise in themed entertainment featuring Medieval Music. This is particularly popular for banquets, themed events, weddings in castles and entertainment for National Trust and English Heritage events.
Medieval Music is played by an array of ancient instruments including the Cornett, Sackbutt, Psaltery, Gemshorn etc. and many Medieval music groups include songs and Madrigals. The musicians or Minstrels can play in small or large groups and dress in Medieval costumes, engaging with the guests, sometimes with humour to fit with the theme of the event. Jesters, dancers and entertainers also sometimes work with the musicians on larger events.
Renaissance and Elizabethan music is of a later period when the music became a little more refined and this music can sometimes be a better option depending on the atmosphere you want to create. We can advise on which musicians will best suit the theme of your event.
