Formed in 1988, this classic Funk showband has been playing live for over 12 years and has become established as one of the premiere 'Revue' acts in the country. The show pays tribute to the classic stars of Funk music... People like Mr James Brown, The Average White Band, Kool and the Gang, The Commodores, Curtis Mayfield, Maceo Parker... and then moves on to present a flavour of some of the great modern day artistes including Incognito, Ronnie Jordan, Brand New Heavies...
As well as headlining with THE BLUNTER BROTHERS 'Funk Revue' the band has supported many major acts including Edwin Starr, Sister Sledge, Ruby Turner, Rufus Thomas, Geno Washington...
THE BLUNTER BROTHERS can supply a complete events entertainment package including up to 2 hours live music, P.A. and lighting systems with engineers, background music and a professional D.J.
The compact 9 piece line up has lead vocal, 3 horn players and a 5 piece rhythm section (including 2 backing vocals). There is also an 11 piece band available which includes a female backing vocalist/dancer and an extra guitar.
