Stephen specialises in Baroque, Romantic and Spanish Music but is also plays folk and blues on acoustic guitar.
Stephen Biggs is an experienced guitar player who began his studies at the age of 8. As an adult, Stephen studied at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, under the guidance of highly esteemed guitarists including, John Mills, Eleftheria Kotzia and Chris Stell, and he took part in masterclasses with world class players such as Kai Neimenen, Xeifei Yang and David Leisner. Stephen also spent a term studying Spanish music at the Real Conservatorio de Musica de Madrid, with Jose Luis Rodrigo. Stephen graduated from the RWCMD in 2008 with a Bachelor of Music degree (Hons), specialising in Classical Guitar.
Stephen has been performing for many years, during which time he has played around the UK as well as in Germany and Spain. He is experienced as a concert guitarist, having performed in a number of venues, highlights of which include the Bolivar Hall in London. He regularly plays at a variety of private events, ranging from large weddings and corporate functions, to private parties and intimate evening soirees. He has arranged a number of popular songs, on request, for weddings and other events, and is happy to arrange your favourite songs for your event. He has also written and recorded music for film and Television.
Stephen is able to perform ‘unplugged’, or with natural sounding acoustic amplification without the need for mains electricity. This means that whether your event is in a function room or in the middle of the woods, Stephen is able to provide high quality music, tailored to your needs.
