The Bevin Boys – superb swing band music of the 1930’s, 40’s & 50’s from a trio to full swing band.
This great professional swing band are young, dynamic, very experienced and play for major events throughout the UK. The music is swing jazz from the 1930’s to the 1950’s and is delivered in authentic style with period instruments and costumes. Let the band take you back to a time when swing was king.
The Bevin Boys line up starts as a trio – Guitar, Bass and Drums/Vocals. As a trio the music works well for either listening or dancing and is in the style of Slim Gaillard or Ray Ellington. Other instruments such as sax, trumpet, trombone etc. are added to this combination to suit various budgets and venues right up to the 12 piece Swing Band which can play the classics of Benny Goodman, Artie Shaw and Duke Ellington as well as swing/jive of Louis Jordan and Louis Prima.
The Bevin boys have toured throughout the UK and played the Royal Albert Hall. Festivals include: The Isle Of Wight festival, Twinwood Festival, War & Peace, Upton Jazz festival.
The band are also available with ‘The Three Belles’, a sensational female vocal trio in the style of the Andrews Sisters. For larger events then it has to be The Bevin Boys Allstars – 9pc band for that Louis Prima, Louis Jordan swing band sound.
