The Numbers Racket is a professional 6-piece swing, jazz, jump-jive and blues band.

The Numbers Racket have years of experience providing high quality live music for all sorts of events. They put on a great show, featuring a powerful horn section, and both a male and female singer. New addition Elaina has a fantastic voice, delivering songs by the likes of Duke Ellington, Billie Holiday, and others.

This band is about making your celebration go with a bang, and they are guaranteed to get people dancing and singing along. The aim to give you and your guests a fabulous time with a high-energy performance.

The Numbers Racket have an extensive play list and a set could include music from Louis Jordan, Louis Prima, Billie Holiday, Ray Charles, Duke Ellington, Cab Calloway, Cole Porter, Memphis Slim. There will also be music from premier revival bands such as Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, The Flying Neutrinos and some surprise songs given the Jump Jive/Swing treatment from Beyonce, Nirvana and Motorhead!!

Venues and events include:
The famous 100 Club in London, Cardiff Coal Exchange, Café Jazz Cardiff, Brecon Jazz Festival, Birmingham International Jazz Festival, Hep Cats Holiday 2010 and Pontypool Jazz Festival 2010 at which they were the headline act and festival closers. They have worked for the BBC, The London Swing Dance Society, Ministry of Burlesque, Jameson Entertainments, Boogaloo Productions, Jive Weekends, and have played at many hotels, student balls, weddings and private and corporate parties.

The Numbers Racket Swing Band can vary the pace and energy of their show depending on what’s required. It’s really down to each occasion and the needs of the audience.

The Numbers Racket Swing Band wear zoot suits, vintage ties and dress shoes as standard, but can dress casually if needed. They use only high quality equipment, and use vintage style microphones to complete the image. Their PA can be used for playing background music or can be turned up to provide a disco. They also have a small scale lighting set up.
