We have Trad Jazz Bands to hire to Jazz up your wedding or Party – book a Trad Jazz Band today!
Trad Jazz is short for Traditional Jazz and this includes New Orleans, Ragtime Jazz & Dixieland as played by Louis Armstrong and King Oliver. The difference between Trad Jazz and more modern styles is basically that Trad & Dixieland use lead instruments (or Front Line as they are called) of trumpet, clarinet and trombone whereas more modern styles include Saxophones. Britain had to wait until the 50’s for Trad Jazz Bands to really take off with the bands of Chris Barber, Humphrey Lyttleton, Kenny Ball and Acker Bilk.
Trad Jazz Bands are versatile and very popular. They are used for all kinds of events such as garden parties, wedding receptions, carnivals and product launches where the upbeat music never fails to make people smile.
