ABBA MAGIC was founded back in 1994. Their musical expertise and incredible attention to detail ensured that ABBA MAGIC were soon recognised as one of the top tributes, with their uncanny likeness to ABBA's vocals, many exact replicas of original costumes, effective and authentic choreography and even convincing Swedish accents!
For many years ABBA MAGIC have been top of the bill at many large outdoor events and music festivals playing to tens of thousands of people. Past venues include Guildford Festival, Bury St. Edmunds Festival, the Golden Jubilee Celebrations at Colchester Castle, 3 concerts at the Gold Cup at Cheltenham Racecourse in 2003 attended by The Queen and a huge concert in the Shetland Islands, not forgetting the enormous Wembley Stadium where they performed during the interval of the London Towers Basketball match, receiving excellent reviews!
International
ABBA MAGIC have performed and produced shows in countries all over the world including France, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Kenya, Canada and Australia. They are also very proud to be the 1st tribute band ever to perform in Hungary, Estonia and Romania.
ABBA MAGIC have also performed at private events for Richard Branson, Frankie Dettori, Cilla Black and many corporate functions for companies such as Rank Hovis McDougall, BMW, IBM and hotel chains such as Hilton, Ramada, Marriott and Great Western. ABBA MAGIC have also performed at the NEC at the National Print Awards for LBV Television.
In 2005 the girls from Abba Magic were flown to Amsterdam to record an original song, working with Holland's famous Pop Idol judge, Eric van Tijn.
TV appearances include their CD promotion on Ideal World TV, and a live performance on 'Night Fever' for Channel 5 presented by Suggs from 'Madness'. Another major highlight for the band was being asked to sing at the premiere of the hit West End musical MAMMA MIA which was attended by Benny and Bjorn themselves and broadcast live to millions on prime-time national television.
