32 years after the original fab four split, it's hard to think that 4 young lads from the North East of England, who weren't even born when The Beatles were on the go, met by chance and are now recreating the magic of the music.
Intent on re-capturing the atmosphere of those early Beatles performances, The Beatle-Maniacs use the early singles, b-sides and rocking album tracks to entertain their audiences both young and old. Sure there are other Beatles Tribute acts out there, but none that concentrate purely on the excitement of the Beatles' early touring years of 1962-1966, and although the group only formed in April 2002, they have already been compared to the well-established Bootleg Beatles, Beatlemania and other long running fab four tributes.
The group work very hard to introduce new material and keep their performances fresh, but there's one thing that never changes. Outstanding musicianship, mind blowing harmonies and a show that will give people something to remember for a long time.
Following the formation of the band, their reputation as 'a credit to the Beatles' music has spread quickly far and wide. From outdoor festivals and theatre work to fund raising and charity events, they have played to a variety of audiences and with the band already having played at the world famous Cavern Club during the annual Liverpool Festival in August 2002, the rave reviews have been heard ever since and this has to be the highlight of the bands, so far, short career, and they are expected to return to next year's festival.
This energetic show is delivered with the style and humour of the groups peers and is the ultimate early Beatles experience ranging from a repertoire of classics such as Love Me Do and She Loves You, to A Hard Days Night and I Feel Fine. There are a few lesser known album tracks slipped in here and there, but whether you're a die hard Beatles fan or just someone who enjoys the music, there's something in the show for everyone.
