Miss Annie & The Midnight Shift are now firmly established as one of the finest Rhythm & Blues bands in the UK.

Miss Annie herself is a superb R&B and Roots singer and her 5piece backing band are established musicians on the vintage music circuit. The line up is Miss Annie on lead vocals, Martin Chilvers on Bari Sax, Kyle Shenton on Tenor Sax, Geoff Westgate on Guitar, Keith Miller on Double Bass & Pete Mundy on Drums.

The band was set up in 2014 whilst Annie was fronting the excellent 11pc swing band ‘The Regular Joes’ with whom she performed at many festivals including Derry Jazz festival, Larmer Tree festival and Coronation Festival at Buckingham Palace. The Midnight Shift has now become the primary vehicle for her vocal talents and the band performs throughout the UK and Europe.

Roots Rhythm & Blues at it’s best, Miss Annie & The Midnight Shift take their influences from star performers of the 50s & 60s such as Etta James, Ruth Brown, Aretha Franklin, Lavern Baker, Annie Laurie and Irma Thomas amongst others. The sound, look and general style of the band harks back to those heady days of crowded dancehalls and great music and they are now in demand for festivals, dance events & parties.
