Al Marconi is a Spanish, Nuevo Flamenco, Latin Guitarist and recording artist who turned professional in 1997.

Since then has managed to notch up over 20,000 sales of his independently marketed self-produced recordings, Equilibrium in 1997, Monument in 2000, Esperanto in 2001 and Terra Nova in 2007. The emphasis is very much on Al’s Spanish guitar playing which features throughout all his original compositions.

Al has developed a unique technique using both fingers and plectrum that stems from his earlier involvement with the electric guitar and his love of heavy rock music. More recently he has diversified into more eclectic styles including World Fusion, Nuevo Flamenco, Smooth Jazz, New Age and Ambient. Al has coined the term ‘Smooth Flamenco’ which he feels best suits his style of music.

Influences range from Jesse Cook, Gipsy Kings, Strunz and Farah, Al Di Meola to Hans Zimmer, Vangelis, Secret Garden and many others.

Al’s soulful music comes very much from the heart and at times can be dramatic and intense and at other times serene and melancholy with his love of minor progressions and music that is deeply moving and passionate; a pleasant and catchy hook is everything!.

Al Marconi performs his unique style of Spanish guitar throughout the counties of Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Somerset, Avon, Sussex and other regions of the UK. Though there are many artists with similarities it is fair to say that nobody out there sounds quite like Al Marconi!
