The Spitfire Sisters – premier 1940s UK vocal trio
The Spitfire Sisters are a renowned 1940s style close harmony trio in the style of The Andrews Sisters. The girls have been singing together since 2011 and have built an enviable reputation for their performances which feature superb harmony, slick choreography and an element of cheeky humour.
The Spitfire Sisters repertoire covers classics from the 1930s and 1940s along with original self penned songs written and recorded with Steve Christie who is the girls’ pianist. The trio can perform with backing tracks for small events and also with their live band for larger shows.
There are a number of band options available up right up to the 8pc which features 11 in total on stage. There is also an option to add dancers for theatre performances and corporate shows where maximum audio and visual impact are key.
Being based in the Southampton area (where the Supermarine Spitfires were built!) much of their work is in the South of England, however The Spitfire Sisters perform for events throughout the UK and beyond for revival events, parties, concerts & corporate events.
Highlights have included performing on board the Orient Express, at the British Embassy in Luxembourg and performing to baking queen Mary Berry!
