The Hot Club Ensemble play Gypsy Jazz – 1930s Parisian café swing in the style of Stephane Grappelli and Django Reinhardt.

The Hot Club Ensemble play Gypsy Jazz and Swing from the 1930’s and 1940’s. The flexible line up unites 6 young musicians across London with a common thirst for gypsy grooves and energy. Guitars, bass and percussion create instant hot club beats covered by soaring violin, clarinet and intertwining melodies, meaning heads will bob and no shoe will be left untapped!

The Hot Club Ensemble add instant atmosphere in any venue, be it large, small, intimate, or vibrant with an array of gypsy repertoire mixed with slow, mellow ballads and jazz classics. They pay homage to Reinhardt & Grappelli to recreate the sound and glamour of a bygone era when the dancehalls, hotels and smokey cafes of Paris were filled with vibrant Gypsy Jazz music.

The band are all experienced professional musicians having graduated from music colleges and universities such as the Royal College of Music, Goldsmiths College, the Kilburn Institute & Leeds university. The perform for events as diverse as receptions, weddings, corporate events & festivals and are equally suitable playing either soulful, subtle background music or sensational swing floor fillers.

Although the full band is a 6 piece there are also options of smaller groups from 3pc upwards to suit different budget, playing area and events.
