Based in Bournemouth, Dorset, Stringendo String Quartet is the leading professional string quartet in the South.

The Quartet was founded by it’s leader Charlotte whilst a member of the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra. During this time she toured Europe and the U.S.A., performed on many broadcasts for radio and television, and made recordings as part of one of the country’s leading orchestras.

Offering music for strings at the highest level, Stringendo perform throughout the south of England for weddings, receptions, corporate functions, product launches, private parties and society balls at locations including stately homes, five star hotels, yacht clubs, castles and private residences.

Stringendo String Quartet and trio perform regularly for weddings at the world renowned the world renowned Chewton Glen. Other fine venues include Lime Wood Lulworth Castle, Somerley House, Lainston House Hotel, Rhinefield House, and Upton Country House. Stringendo are regularly called upon to entertain for Corporate clients including Barclays Bank, Skandia, Tesco, Zurich Assurance, De Loitte, UBS, Mercedes Benz etc, and when Gary Rhodes presented a series of gourmet evenings in London, Stringendo were engaged to provide the music.

Stringendo String Quartet specialise in playing for weddings. Since it’s formation the quartet have played for hundreds of weddings and receptions and offer an unrivalled level of service with advice on music options and a dedication that ensures that everything is just right for that most important of days.

With music ranging from Bach to Beethoven and beyond, featuring the ‘Ragtime’ of Scott Joplin, melodies of Cole Porter, Music from the Shows, Films, Television and Pop, Stringendo have the repertoire to accommodate all tastes and occasions. Their dedication, musicianship and attention to detail is your guarantee of excellence, helping to make any event that little bit more special.

Stringendo String Trio The string trio is a popular alternative to the full string quartet. This combination works well if there is limited playing space or if there is not quite the budget for the full quartet. Although the repertoire for the trio is not as extensive there is still a wide range of music available. The string trio sounds and looks perfect for weddings and small gatherings.

Stringendo String Duo Violin and Cello make up the 2pc ensemble which is an option for where there are restrictions on numbers or the budget for either quartet or trio is not possible. the playing period for this option is more limited however works for ceremony and into the drinks reception for a wedding.
